Educators think that English-language learners have exceptional challenges. Teachers want to ensure that students get access to the main curriculum in schools and acquire academic knowledge, including English-language skills (Education Week, 2011).
ESL teachers must be familiar with second language acquisition so they will know how to support students to develop language skills and guarantee academic achievement. Also, they need to know how technology can support efforts to accomplish that. Technology could facilitate these efforts and be used to develop engaging activities for children.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, children spend 7 hours and 38 minutes every day with media products (Shapley, 2010). With this in mind, this website will provide some online video games that teachers can use to incorporate into lesson plans since children are using these items for entertainment purposes, and they can be academically engaged, as well.
